These emails come from Schwab because your Cache Long/Short account is custodied there. Most require no action — your portfolio is managed on a fully discretionary basis by Cache with day-to-day investment handled by Brooklyn Investment Group.

What types of emails will I receive from Schwab?

Schwab sends several categories of notifications to all account holders: dividend short charge notices, corporate action alerts, proxy voting notices, trade confirmations, and general account communications. The vast majority are informational. Your account is managed with full discretion, so Cache and BKLN are already handling anything that requires a portfolio-level response.

I got a dividend short charge notice. Do I need to deposit money?

No. Because the strategy holds short positions, Schwab will periodically notify you that a dividend charge has been applied when a shorted stock pays a dividend. This is handled automatically within your account — no deposit or action is required on your part.

What is a corporate action email?

Corporate actions are events like tender offers, exchange offers, rights exercises, and merger elections that affect securities held in your account. Schwab forwards these notices because you hold the relevant security. BKLN monitors and manages your account's response to corporate actions. If a specific decision requires your input, Cache or BKLN will contact you directly. Otherwise, no action is needed.

I got a proxy voting notice. Do I need to vote?

No action is required. Under the Program, Cache has delegated proxy voting for all securities held in your account to BKLN. BKLN handles all voting on your behalf per its proxy voting policies. You can find details on BKLN's approach in Item 17 of their Form ADV Part 2A.

What is a trade confirmation email?

After trades execute in your account, Schwab will notify you that a confirmation is available at schwab.com/sa_reports. These are your formal transaction records. No action is needed, but you should review them periodically and flag any discrepancies to support@usecache.com.

Are there any Schwab emails I normally need to act on?

Rarely. One situation worth paying attention to: if you receive a notice about a corporate action affecting a short position — particularly a merger election — review it and contact us. In limited cases, short sellers can face specific obligations or liability if a position isn't resolved before an offer deadline. Additionally, Schwab will send you an email if you change your address on the account. Please review this to ensure it is accurate and contact us if there are any discrepancies. When in doubt, email support@usecache.com and we'll advise.

Who do I contact with questions about a specific email?

Email support@usecache.com. For account statements and trade confirmations, log in at schwab.com/sa_reports.
