If your shares are held directly at Computershare, you’ll usually need to move them to a brokerage account before transferring them to us. If you need help sooner, contact us and we’ll help you explore your options.

Why can’t I transfer directly from Computershare?

Computershare is a transfer agent, rather than a brokerage. Shares held directly there use a different transfer process, typically called the Direct Registration System (DRS), and can’t be transferred through our standard ACATS or DTC transfer options.

How do I transfer my shares?

  1. Contact a receiving brokerage, such as Fidelity, Schwab, or E*TRADE, to confirm it can accept your shares from Computershare. Your company will likely have a brokerage they’ve identified that you can transfer to.

  2. Ask that brokerage to initiate the transfer. It can explain the requirements for moving your shares from Computershare into your brokerage account.

  3. Once the shares arrive, request a transfer to us from that brokerage through our standard account transfer process.

What if I need help sooner?

Contact us before starting the transfer. Our team can review your situation and help determine whether a manual transfer is possible. Availability, timing, and any applicable fees depend on your circumstances.

What if my shares are already held at a brokerage?

If your shares have already moved from Computershare to a brokerage account, select that brokerage as the source institution when requesting your transfer to us.
